Tarot and the Occult- Queen of Disks

Tarot and the Occult- Queen of Disks

Do what Thou Will, shall be the Whole of the Law

We have made it to the last card in the Disk suit, and that is the Queen of Disk. Just by the simple look of the card, we can tell that there is a certain feminine power.Back of the Thoth Deck

The Queen of Disks is sort of the highest card left in the Disk suit. She rules over the Disk with a Rock fist, but can have an emotional side.

Today we will be going over what exactly it means to have her pulled in a reading, and what she can be saying to us in a psychological sense as well! This is the last card in the first part of our Tarot series, so be sure to go back and check out the rest if you have missed those, as we are officially done with the Disk suit now!

So now let’s get started into look at the Tarot and the Occult!

Meaning of the Queen

The Queen of Disk has a deep meaning to family and to the material side of caring for the family. Her love for those closest to her is powerful. In today’s time, her role is diminished, and even made fun of by some people. Her housewife role is so important though.

That brings us to the more psychological and sociological meaning of this card. In a psychological sense, it is telling women that it is okay to be a housewife. It is okay to want to stay at home and care for your family as opposed to going and working. For some people this is what they want, and they should NEVER be discouraged from that. Also, some studies suggest that it is best to have at least one parent home with the kids, instead of doing daycare or having a babysitter. This helps build a healthy and productive nature between them.

Anyhow, I go off on tangents like that because I love psychology and family stuff! I find it fascinating and important in bettering society and mental health.

This card is telling the person that it is okay to be a nurturer. She is probably actively telling you to be a that, especially in your household. Maybe there is someone you are neglecting that could use your love right now, I’m not sure.

To be a little more introspective, she could be speaking to your heart, and telling you that you are feeling unloved within your household. If that is the case, let someone know and try to work those things out!

However, my view is not the only one, so I have left a video for you to watch on what others say about the card!

Design of the Queen

The first thing to look at in this card, as there is a lot going on, is the background. There is a desert with a river that runs through it. This sort of conveys a though journey, that can possibly be lonely and spiritually dry. HowThe Loving Queenever, the river shows that there is a guiding force guides the Queen through the desert. It’s important to remember that the Queen of Disks is the Watery Aspect of the Earth, so it would make sense that she would have a spiritual and emotional side, represented as a river in the desert.

We notice the goat, which resides on a globe. This may represent Capricorn and the Sun. It is important to note that Capricorn is a strong sign and factors a lot into this card and it’s meaning.

In her left hand she holds a globe, which represents the completion of the things she wants done through a perfect balance of emotional strength and physical strength.

The helmet is another interesting part of the card. It could represent a great journey that is to come to the person soon, or that they are on one, and are working hard to fulfill it.

Finally, we see that there is a wand, which has a cube and a hexagram within it. This probably represents the Sun within the Earth, and it shows the power of the Queen and her ability to bring forth and sustain life.

Queen Rules

The Queen of disks rules over the two of disks, three of disks, and the ten of wands.

First we look at the two of disks and what that means. As the ruler, it is clear that she has the power of change and adaptability. This is what the two of disks is all about. We have already been over this card befChangeore so I won’t spend a lot of time explaining what it means. Only what it means in the context of the QueeLord of worksn.

Next, we see that the Queen rules over the Three of Disks, which is works. This shows how important it is for the Queen to work and get things done. Aries is associated with this card, and he is known to get things done. This is fitting for the Queen as well, because she too wants to get things done.

Finally, we have the ten of wands, which is oppression. This could be an indication that she is doing something that may not be good for her, and it is going to have bad consequences in the long run. This is typically not within her nature, but due to the planetary forces behind the ten of wands, there is a restrictive nature and it can cause her to lose sight of what actually matters.

Astrology and the Queen

The Queen rules from twenty-one degrees Sagittarius to twenty Capricorn, which explains the importance of capricornCapricorn in this card. It sort of denotes a passionate woman who can get her goals done, typically not by intelligence, but by instinct and intuition. There is nothing wrong with that, it is what it is and there is something great to be said about a woman who can do this!

I’m no expert in Astrology though, and if you want more check out the site here, which goes in better detail that I have.

Conclusion

So we are now officially done with the Disks suit! I hope you have enjoyed our journey so far, and I hope that the Queen was a good way to finish off the suit. She is a beautiful and powerful card, I believe!

Thanks a lot for sharing with us such an amazing article about Tarot and the occult Queen of disks.

For me this is the first time I hear about Queen of Disk. Reading your article I realize that this powerful woman could lead even the world in which we live today. It is so fascinating how this card is telling the person that it is okay to be a nurturer. I am passionate about this industry of astrology, if I may say so, and now I am even more interested considering that your articles are so well explained and also very creative pictures.

If you don’t mind i will share this article on my social media account. Wish you all the best!

Very interesting how you explain the Queen of Disks card, and I can’t help noticing how much it reminds me of life. The woman who is nurturing, on her journey of life, navigating the desert where a river runs through. That is a strong analogy for me, because I live in the semi-desert and there is a dry arroyo nearby which fills with water only in rain season. Life out here has been challenging, so I can relate to it, in life and regarding how I have been living so far.

I found the ten of wands, opression, interesting, because we sometimes tend to do things that are not good for us and they end up affecting us in our lives, making us lose track of what is important. I can relate to that too …

This card is indeed a powerful one, just like women really are. There is much strenght in us, something which some men tend to overlook and in some cases they even find it intimidating …  😉

You are so right in that!  We men really do underestimate women at times and it is sad because women have so much to offer the world!  Stay strong and I am glad this card was able to resonate with you!

Hi Jessie, thanks for this very easy to understand approach! I am always happy with the explanation you give. I once asked to be read about my fate by someone using a tarot card. And as a result, I am confused until now what he meant. And the way you read tarot is very different from that. You are amazing!

Since I’m not an expert in the world of tarot, I want to ask, why does Queen look at the long road that will be taken. However, in the journey only contains trees with barren land? Is there any meaning about this?

    1. Jessie Mosley

I believe that she looks that way because she is contemplating the right path forward.  I don’t believe the road is always tough, but when it is she knows what to do.
